  1. make sure that when you go into the spin, that you gradually let your leg spin around to where its suposed to be. dont swing your leg straight into the position otherwise it will be much harder to hold.

  2. Just make sure you are really centered before you go down into the sit position.  As you go down, it is also important that your weight between hips and free leg are even all the way down.  In other words, don't let your upper body hunch foraward and throw your weight over your free leg.

  3. Then either the entry isn't done well or you just don't have the muscle strength. How long can you stay in sit spin position in a 90° angle and without holding onto anything on the floor? If you collapse in 30 seconds and can't get up again, you'll know for sure you need to go to a gym and pump some iron. I've always had weak thigh muscles for sideways movements, but even now where I've lost over 5 pounds of muscle I can still do decent sit spins, so therefore I'm suspecting there's something wrong with your entry as well.

You need to put a lot of speed in the entry and get into sit position as fast as possible to take advantage of the extra inertia which will give you an extra 4-5 revs if you do it right.

As for the hunched back, it's both muscl strength that you need and to correct this bad habit. Now that you consciously know it's there, you must try to straighten your back as much as you can while you do the spin. Bad habits are hard to erase, but it's far easier to fix them in a spin than in a jump.

  4. I'd love to help but I really hate sit spins. Mine are just terrible and I hunch my back as well (I'm glad I'm not the only one).
