Sites randomly stop working/start working again.

Question

I have 2 internet browsers (Firefox and IE 7), so the problem is not the web browser. For almost a week, random sites on the internet will go down on me and just as randomly start working again some time later. This is happening to both sites I visit frequently and sites I had never visited before. It happens over 10 times a day now. Any help?

Definitely try running a virus and spyware scan, and a disc cleanup (and delete all temp files etc for both browsers).  If the problem persists.. I would contact your internet provider.
