  1. dont worry im the same way!!

    i would definitely say to try any of the water rides (depending on the weather of course).  As for rollercoasters, definitely go on Wizzer and Ragin' Cagin' (as long as you dont mind sharp turns).  Aslo, I would recommend Batman.  It is by far the smoothest ride and there are no big drops or anything.  Viper is another good rollercoaster, the 1st drop freaked me out but by the 3rd time it was super fun.  Aslo any of the rides that arent rollercoasters are a ton of fun, so just walk around and go on anything that looks interesting, cause chances are, it will be great! have a fun time!

    p.s. dont let your fears hold you back.

  2. Here are some pretty 'in the middle coasters'

    Whizzer- VERY tame coaster

    Viper- wooden roller coaster, lots of fun air-time, not that scary, medium drop, pretty smooth for a wooden ride

    American Eagle- first drop looks scary, but it's really fun, kind of rickety. You might have to work your way up to this a little bit

    Ragin' Cajun- fun at any age, like a spinning wild mouse ride, also very tame

    Superman- this ride actually isn't as scary as it looks, it's INCREDIBLY smooth, and though it does go upside down, it's not even that scary. It was my first upside down ride and my brother's too.

    Six Flags is a good park for you to work up to riding bigger rides. Even though I don't really like big roller coaster, I've even gone on the Raging Bull, the biggest, tallest, fastest ride in the park. I swore to myself that I would never go on it, but it actually was really fun and wasn't even that scary.

    Yes, there are TONS of shops all over Six Flags. You can buy regular clothes, Six Flags merchandise, and I recommend going to the Candy Store in Home Town Square, lots of yummy goodies!

    Another note, I recommend NOT going on the Dark Knight coaster, because the wait will be incredibly long, and the ride isn't even all that great. I think it's better just to close your eyes on Ragin' Cajun. Hope you have fun!

  3. personally i love big rides but try the whizzer the iron wolf rajin caujin the tower where you drop and try raging bull (thats my fav!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

  4. you never too old for kiddie rides look at my pic lol.

    the best in the middle ride for what you are looking for is the whizzer.

    Whizzer: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Whizzer_%28...

    I am a rollercoaster addict and I love it, but its small enough where my 3yr old can enjoy it with me. Its the only rollercoaster in the world that still employs the spiral lift. The seating is the bigger person in the back and you strap in with a seatbelt.(15-20 min wait usually)

    Revolution is another good one. It rocks back and forth like a boat ride while spinning the people in the seats.(under 10 min wait)

    Ragin' Cajun is a Crazy Mouse ride which is a cousin of the wild mouse rides. Its consider crazy b/c the cars spin freely the  2nd half of the ride. (half hour minimum most of the day to ride. it loads approx 400 people per hour while most big rollercoaster load in the 1,000 range)

    A Wild Mouse roller coaster (or Wildemous, Mad Mouse or Rat Run) is a type of roller coaster characterized by small cars that seat four people or fewer and ride on top of the track, taking tight, flat turns at modest speeds, yet producing high lateral G-forces

    The dark knight is a wild mouse rollercoaster with the "BATMAN" theme.

    It is very mild and will not scare even the most timid of rollercoaster riders.(30min+)

    Bumper cars (rue le dodge)

    Is a classic yet still is funny every time you ride it. Six Flags Great America is home to the worlds largest bumper car floor! (10-15 min)

    King Chaos is a another ride to ride. It loops you back and forth and the seat section also flips.(mardi gras section 10 min max wait)

    other good nonbig rollercoaster non kiddies rides

    hometown fun machine

    triple play

    chubasco(tea cups)

    ricochet

    river rocker

    great america raceway(additional price of $7)

    roaring rapids

    loggers run

    condor

    dare devil dive(additional price)

  5. The middle of the road coasters I would say are:

    Whizzer

    Ragin Cajun

    Dark Knight - non spinning version indoors of the Ragin Cajun

    Demon

    Iron Wolf - It's a stand up coaster, but it hurts your head a little bit in the corkscrew. It has 2 inversions.

    I don't know what's really too scary for you. These might be too much for you:

    Superman Ultimate Flight - You are flying on your stomach as you go through 2 inversions.

    Batman the Ride - It's not that tall, but it has 5 inversions. The track is above you, and you are in seat.

    V2 - It goes 65 mph, and it's pretty tall. The track is above you.

    Raging Bull - It would probably be too tall for you to ride. It's over 200 feet along with Giant Drop (Giant Drop is a drop tower.)

    You can go in the waterpark with admission, but I think it's going to be to cold for that. They have plenty of smaller rides at the park besides roller coasters.

    In my opinion, the ride across from Iron Wolf (called Fiddler's Fling) is the most intense ride at the park.

    Other names of rides that I think are good at the park are (smaller rides): Triple Play, Hometown Fun Machine, Sky Trek Tower, Ricochet, Chubasco, Condor, Whirligig, Big Easy Balloons, The Orbit, and the Rue Le Dodge.

    ^Oh, by the way it's Roaring Rapids, and not Raging Rapids.

  6. I'm going there tomorrow too :  }

    like you, I don't like the big roller coasters, but I'm too old for kiddie rides.

    try the whizzer, it's a roller coaster, but it's small and fun.

    you can also try the ragin' cajun. it's a roller coaster, but small and fun.

    you can try raging rapids if it's warm out, I'll be on that one :  }

    also try some of the non-coaster rides.

    ie:) the giant drop, the condor, etc.

    have fun :  }
