Six Flags rained out - free passes?

This past Tuesday 7 of co-workers and I all begged for off and gave our supervisor a heart attack, so we could go to Six Flags. We were tracking the weather a week beforehand and it kept changing from sunny, to some rain, to lots of rain and back again. On the morning of, one weather website said bad rain all day, another said rain for just an hour so, and t.v. said drizzles off and on all day. So we decided to make the trek there - a 2 hour drive each way. When we got there it was drizzling and some of the coasters were closed, but we managed to go on 4 rides. We took a break to eat and it started to POUR. We were soaked in like 10 seconds and had to call it a day. So we left.

Now, my brother said his friend went there on a rainy day and when they couldn't go on any rides, they were given free passes for next time. Anyone know if this is true? We'd love to go back again since we only got to stay for about 2.5 hours. Is it worth it to try emailing them?

  1. Hi, this is posted under FAQ on the Six Flags Magic Mountain website:

    "What happens if it rains?

The park contains all types of activities, many of which are not dependent upon good weather, including indoor shows, games and arcades. While some rides and shows may close due to rain or wind, they are opened as soon as the weather clears. Refunds and rainchecks are not offered."

I think you'll have to pay to get in again. But in the future remember to get a Twicket (a ticket to return to Six Flags for a "nominal fee"). You can find info for that under "Guest Services" or " General Policies" at Six Flags.com
