Six Samurai?

Question

1. If I have a Yaichi on the field and I summon another six samurai, then the opponent chains Torrential, will Yaichi have priority to destroy another face down spell or trap? Or does torrential cancel that effect?

2. I was wondering about the whole destroying/removing thing. If My opponent uses bottomless or Caius the Shadow Monarch to remove a monster, can I use My body As Shield?

1. No because Yaichi's effect is not a trigger effect, so after the torrential happened his effect would not be able to activate because of its speed even if it is your turn.

2. Yes you would still get caius' effect because its a trigger and once it was tribute summoned you could use the effect, only a spell speed 3, AKA a counter trap could negate that effect, ex. pulling the rug solemn judgment and so on. Yes you could use my body as a shield on bottomless trap hole, its a faster spell speed.
