Hey me and my gf are gonna travel down to NJ this summer to go to SF Great Adventure. My question is, can you get on all the rollercoasters during a weekday? Best day to go. We wanted to do everything, safari, waterpark, and park. Seems like tickets are all sepatate. Are there any special deals on 2 day passes like cedar point has or water/safari/park. Couldnt tell for sure on the website all i saw was you could add safari for 10 bucks. Our plan was to go down mid/late june. get there at like 5pm do the safari that day, next day do park all day, the next day do waterpark till like 5 then leave. Could we get everything done in this time? on like a mon tues wed? Any comments? thanks

  1. SFGAdv has the most rides and record breaking coasters in the world, which is why I strongly recommend that you avoid hurricane harbor (the water park) when you come down here.  The park opens around 9 or 10 during the summer (I can't remember, but you should check the website) and that's the time that you should arrive at the park.  Depending on how long of a trip you have ahead of you, try your best to make it enjoyable but please avoid the rushes that start coming around 12 and 1PM.  You could get on everything (providing they are open), including Kinga Ka and El Toro without having to wait in the two-hour line if you were to show up late.  So, try your best to make it down there on time.

If you don't hold a season pass then you won't be able to do the wild safari unless you pay the admission otherwise.  Personally, the safari just isn't the same once they caged the monkeys (they used to jump all over your car and it was just really interested and amusing), so I wouldn't really recommend it.  But to answer your question you could definitely do both the safari and the theme park in one day.  Hurricane Harbor is just too expensive and too crowded to actually enjoy yourself, but if you wanted to, get to the theme park early, ride all of the good coasters first, head over the the water park, ride everything there, and then head back to the theme park to chill off.

It's good fun and I really hope you enjoy yourself.  Hope this helps.

  2. I would check their maintenance calendar on their website first.

  3. You can get a 3 park combo pass for $85, but that is only for one day. The best deal, I think, is to get a 3 park season pass. For about $130, you get unlimited visits to all 3 parks all season long. Plus you get free tickets for friends and a $300 coupon book. You also get free concerts and events. Also, the Safari closes at 4, so getting there at 5 would just be a waste. Hope this helps you out. Have fun there!
