Cliffside Park High School Hall of Fame is going to mark another historical moment on November 11, 2011, as on this date it will observe the seventh induction ceremony where six athletes will be given a place into the hall of fame. The Hall of Fame was formed
in 2000 and since then, it has been taking the mission of acknowledging the efforts, talents and accomplishments of local athletes in Cliffside Park.

audience. The tradition of the event is that the organisations, every year, honours one championship team from the past and one from the current year. For this year’s get together, the 1969 State Champion Baseball team will be honoured on November 11.
The present principal of School 3 in Cliffside Park, John Brunelli will head the Hall of Fame along with the his fellow member, Joe Taibi, who had been the high school’s director in the past. Besides them, the event will be attended by city Mayor, Gerald
Calabrese, Jim Colagreco, Bart Talamini, Dom Alagia, Simon Bracco and Sam Grafa. While commenting upon the preparation of the event, Brunelli said that he was looking forward to the dinner and the ceremony as earlier such parities had been memorable.
The principal said, “Athletes from all years and decades are connected by the bond Cliffside Park has always stood for; that being one of family and mutual respect. Our athletes have always been a proud source of community life.”
Adding up to his remarks, Brunelli said, “These alumni games bring together the young and the older Cliffside Park players. You would love to see how many younger players enjoy seeing us old timers compete and afterwards tell stories of our days at school
– and we can still hold our own.”
Besides the dinner, which is attended by around 300 to 450 people, the Hall of Fame also utilises the event for raising funds to organise alumni football, softball, baseball and basketball competitions.
