Six players that Inter Milan might sign to challenge for the Scudetto – Serie A (Part 1)
Inter Milan’s woeful title http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Defence-c38904 in the 2010-2011 Serie A season saw their city rivals A.C Milan eclipse the to the Rossoneri’s first league triumph since the days of Carlo Ancelotti. Nerazzurri are now seen in turmoil as their
best player is constantly linked with a move away to Manchester United, their manager http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Leonardo-c22056 seems to be clueless about management as he has hardly been given a straight agenda.
To top it all off, the club has not brought in any recognizable new players apart from http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Giampaolo-Pazzini-c14802 in the 2011 January transfer window. Thus, let’s take a look at five players which Inter Milan might sign in order to compete
with A.C Milan for the Scudetto in the 2011-2012 Serie A season.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Riccardo-Montolivo-c31049
At just 26 years of age, Montolivo can be the future of Italian football at the right team and in the right position. He was admittedly off the mark for Fiorentina in the 2010-2011 Serie A campaign but if there is anything this
man needs, is a renewed target to aim for. With http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Inter-c39567 Milan requiring new blood in central midfield, a point specifically highlighted by their disastrous collapse against Schalke 04 in the quarterfinals of the UEFA Champions League, Inter Milan can do with
a playmaker like Montolivo in central midfield.
An elegant football in his own right, Riccardo will fit perfectly alongside the combative Cambiasso in Inter’s squad. Moreover if Leonardo is replaced, any new manager will want to try out different combinations. Riccardo provides
the incoming manager with an opportunity to play a three man central midfield in a 4-3-3 setup with Cambiasso being the destroyer, Montolivo being the creator and Sneijder being the executer.
However it remains to be seen whether or not Inter will be able to match Fiorentina’s asking price especially after it has been made evident now that Montolivo wants to leave Florence for the fashion capital of the world, Milan.
Alexis Sanchez
Most of the talk directed at Alexis Sanchez’s transfer dealing is coming from outside http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Barcelona-c38604 and Manchester City are the forerunners in the
race to land the Chilean winger. However it is Sanchez that Inter Milan so desperately need in order to boost their domestic as well as European chances.
Sanchez played for http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chile-c2871 in the FIFA 2010 World Cup as a winger but for Udinese in the 2010-2011 Serie A season as a trequartista, something that shows his versatile nature. The speedy winger knows how to create goals and score
them too and he does both the tasks with a certain amount of vigour and determination about himself.
Inter Milan themselves have already suggested that they are interested in signing Sanchez but the biggest hurdle in this move is the price tag that is being thrown around. However Inter Milan can play this tag to their advantage
by offering http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Alexis-Sánchez-c4979’s signature.
