Six teams advance from the Country Quota Playoffs stage at the HP Open – Beach Volleyball
A total of six teams from three countries advanced to the second round of the SWATCH FIVB HP Open Beach Volleyball Tournament on Tuesday, August 23. The Hague is hosting the exciting beach volleyball campaign from August 23-28, which featured the Country
Quote Playoffs on day-1. This is the third edition of the international tournament at Hague, Netherlands. Teams from Brazil, the Netherlands, and Italy competed at the first stage of the tournament. The following 10 teams competed for spots in the qualification
tournament on Tuesday:

Thiago-Harley – Brazil Bruno/ Maciel – Brazil Santos/ Alvaro Filho – Brazil Van Laanen-Vismans S. – NED Oude Elferink-van Zwieten – NED Bolsterlee-Lokerse  - NED Mopman-van den Outenaar - NED Daalmeijer-Spil – NED Varenhorst-Stiekema – NED Matteo Ingrosso/ Paolo Ingrosso - Italy
Brazil
The talented Brazilian duo of Thiago/Harley successfully earned a place in the men’s qualification tournament of FIVB SWATCH World Tour HP Beach in Hague on Tuesday. They played two matches on the opening day of the tournament in addition to a bye in the
first contest. Thiago/ Harley clashed with countrymen Santos/ Alvaro Filho and gave out a winning performance. They scored 21-16, 21-12 in two straight sets and claimed a victory over their opponents. Success in the first encounter enabled them to display
a confident game in the next match against Bruno and Maciel. It took them just 34 minutes to overpower the opposite team. Bruno and Maciel finished off with the low score of 15 and 13 in two sets, while Thiago/ Harley achieved sets points and announced match
victory.
Thiago/ Harley remained undefeated at the CQ matches and settled for qualification tournament on Wednesday.
The Netherlands

Hosts of the HP Open Beach Volleyball played with six teams at the Country Quota Playoffs. Four out of six clinched success and moved to the qualification tournament. The tandem of Van Laanen/ Vismans S. earned the qualification without putting much effort
as they received a bye from their opponents.  
The duo of Daalmeijer-Spil joined the qualifiers of the second leg of the tournament by beating Mopman/ van den Outenaar in 45 minutes. The match spanned over three sets, while Daalmeijer/ Spil secured two sets and pulled off success. The opponents managed
to steal one set in the game but could not avoid defeat. The scoreboard showed the final score of 2-1 (16-21, 21-17, and 15-13).  
Bolsterlee and Lokerse dealt with the power of Oude Elferink and van Zwieten in CQ match. The former proved to be better and seized victory at 2-0 (21-12, 21-17).
Varenhorst/ Stiekema emerged as the fourth team from Netherlands which booked a slot at the qualification tournament. They got lucky and earned the qualification on account of a ‘bye’.
Italy
Italy’s Matteo Ingrosso/ Paolo Ingrosso got a bye and advanced without playing on Tuesday.
