Six things Miami Heat should do to keep their Championship hopes alive – NBA Special Report (Part-1)
Miami Heat is down 3-2 in the best of seven series of the National Basketball Association Finals and are on the verge of elimination as they go back home to take on the Dallas Mavericks in the game-6 of the contest. The Mavericks
has become a major threat for Miami down the stretch during the series and won all of the three games so far by inflicting fourth quarter meltdowns on the Heat.
One of the big reasons for Miami’s dramatic demise is the hard time their influential small forward LeBron James is facing for the first time in his seven years of dominating career. A considerable downfall was observed in James
performance since the start of the series which went down to a worst day of his career in the game-4 when he managed to land only 8 points.
With LeBron’s epic failure in the Finals, Mavericks’ sharp-shooter Dirk Nowitzki is exploiting the situation impressively and spearheaded Dallas on the top.
The Miami Heat needs to recover fast before it’s too late as another defeat will crush their hopes for the NBA championship title. Five things Miami should do to make a comeback in the next game are discussed below.
Get LeBron James back on the track
Two-Time Most Valuable Player (MVP) James has been the man behind Miami’s flourishing offensive system throughout the play-offs. However LeBron is struggling big-time against the Mavericks at the most crucial time of the post-season
when he is very close to furnish his resume with a championship title.
Everybody knows that James’ job is to stimulate the offensive play of the team and this is what Miami needs to do, push him on the front court. It was noticed that LeBron is taking less chances from the field and downtown and seemingly,
he was making a defensive play which is not what he is meant to do on the court. James is known for his aggressiveness and this is what makes the life difficult for the opposition.
Erik Spoelstra, Heat’s coach is determined to support his player and said, “He's a great player. He's a proven player. He knows how to be aggressive and how to pick his spots. I don't want him to necessarily over think it. The
aggressive mentality will be enough. We will do some things to help him, put him in positions to be aggressive."
James aggressive mentality will definitely bring massive change in Miami’s game-play and this is exactly what his teammates should to tell him to get LeBron back on the track.
Restrict Dirk Nowitzki from taking control
The German sharp-shooter Nowitzki is one of the very few players in the league who continues to provide fireworks even being double-teamed. All most all kind of defence has failed against the big man this season. However, accompanied
with the three most influential players Dwyane Wade, Chris Bosh and James, Miami has the potential to restrict the 7 footer Dirk.
Nowitzki untiring assail down the stretch has been the driving force for the Dallas Mavericks to inflict a couple of dramatic meltdowns on Miami. Heat’s Big 3 needs to play maximum time down the stretch to ensure their domination
in the game and restrict Nowitzki from taking control.
