  1. no youre wrong!!

    Its the third one

    six times the sum of a number" represents two different operation, thus you must use grouping symbols to separate them.

  2. Yes, it is the second.

    N=4.6666

    How old are you?

  3. It's the third one because it says six times the SUM. So that means you need to add N and 12 first, and then multiply by 6.

  4. yes but i write it as 6(n)+12=40

                                      -12        -12

                                       6(n)=28

                                       /6      /6

                                          n=4.66666666666666666666666666667

  5. 6n+12=40

  6. Nope, it is the third one.

  7. No. It's the 3rd one. Take it as literally as you can. 6 times the SUM of a number and 12. NOT the SUM of 6 times a number plus 12

  8. 6(N + 12) = 40

  9. Think of it this way:

    Six times the sum (of a number and 12) is 40.

    The equation would be:

    6 (N + 12) = 40

  10. yes you are :)

  11. its the third one :D

    good luck!
