Coming from a 15 year old, I think it's a nice break, but it's mega boring if you've got nothing to do.

I'd suggest more holidays that are a bit longer throughout the year, but I doubt that'd suit anyone.

no i don;t think so. Plus many do go to places of recreation, and away with parents who take their summer breaks in the school holidays.

I used to love my long holidays from school, was rarely bored, had too much to do, and fun to get up to.

Yes i do, mine are ok as long as the weather is fine & they can play out but if it's not they get so bored & moan all the time, fighting amongst themselves.

Because i think that this is a really great time for kids to get involved in extra circular activities. They need to develop their general knowledge.

I think it is way too long for the parents only.  The kids love it and the teachers love it.

i think so yes, when i was that age i would get bored. its not like parents can afford to take their kids away for the full 6 weeks, my family would go on days out here and there but the rest of the time it got pretty boring for me.

after three weeks i wanted to go back to school, mostly because my friends lived quite far away so maybe that was a factor.
