  1. I love Great America.  Been there far too many times to count.  There was never anything called a flash pass in my day.

All that the Flash Pass does, is holds your place in line.  It costs $40 for the 1st person and $25 more for the next person that wants to use the card.

To me it's not worth it.  It's more fun to wait in line and hang out with my friends.

  2. Yes it was fun

Yes I used a gold flash pass

A flash pass allows you to sign up for a ride without waiting in line. There are 2 levels. Regular lets you sign up for a ride, but you have to wait the same amount of time as the people in the line, you just can walk around the park instead of standing in line.

The gold pass lets you sign up for a ride and it will tell you how long you have to wait, normally 5-10 minures. After your time is up (with either pass) you have a special line you go in, and they let you on the ride. (you have a little electronic thing you carry with you)

I went with 3 people and we got a flash pass for 4. It cost $150 so that would be $37.50 per person.

If you buy seperately, I believe it costs a little more, the regular flash passes are cheaper, but I dont know a price on those.

Buying the flash pass was well worth it. We went on loads more coasters than we would have if we waited in long lines. I think the longest we waited to ride a ride all day was 10 minutes in line.

I will tell you that it doesnt work for all the rides, just the main ones (like coasters), there's probably 10 rides it works for, but it's still worth the money. And you have to get them early because they only have a certain number of them to give out.
