Sixteen going on seventeen??

Question

if your doing a singing recital and not the actual play would you have to kiss your duet partner even if it's a recital? would it be long or short?

I've seen it done both ways- some do it without the kissing and some do it with, to me they both have the same effect. But if you were to do it I'm sure it wouldn't be long at all
