Sixteen in the city themed party, how to make it work?!?

I really love the idea of city lights or club themes but i'm not sure how to make it work. any ideassss?

It depends on how much time and/or money.......you can make street signs like 42ND Street and Broadway, get some posters of different landmarks in different cities.  Or just of NY or whatever city you have in mind.  Even if you take some large pieces of cardboard and cut squares in them, paint them black and put yellow paper behind the cutouts to make it look like dark buildings with lights on that could help.  You know those plastic derby hats they use for New Years? Maybe you can find some cheap and replace the band with the person's name or just Happy Birthday, print it out in a nice font on the computer and use a glue stick....some ideas will cost you nothing but time to make, others will cost a little money....Hope this helps a little.

if you are going with a club theme get strobe lights and a black light and tell your guests to wear something white so they glow also get a dj and have a blast dancing
