Question:

Sixteenth birthday ideas...?

Alright here's the problem. I don't want a big party, I only want to do something small for my close friends. I suggested taking them out to dinner, and my mom said no. I suggested having a big barbecue in my backyard instead of ordering pizza, and my mom said that would be too much work. I really don't want to sit around in my basement and do nothing, but that's what my mom is limiting me to. Please, any help at all? Any ideas that wouldn't be too expensive, I just want to have a good time with my close friends.

  1. aawww you should rly just throw a party at your house and do some cool decorations why is your mom limiting you?

  2. take ur close friends for a movie or sleepover or both

  3. A sleepover is your best bet.

Get a bunch of nail polish and makeup, and do eachother up. Have everyone bring some fun clothes, and then set up a studio in your basement. Take pictures together.

Ask mom to buy popcorn and movies, or if she'll only get lame ones, someone has a cool parent, so borrow a cute movie like The Notebook, or something like that.

If you don't have a karaoke machine, have everyone put on a song in the CD player, and then pretend to sing. Whoever puts on the best show wins a prize of some kind.

Hope your birthday is great sweetie! Don't be mad at mom. Gas is going up, and that's making food and everything else higher, so money's tight these days.

    Happy birthday!!!

  4. i got a volleyball net set up (its really cheap and easy..suprisingly) and we hit a ball around. its was lots of fun and it got us outside and doing something.  make pasta for dinner (who doesnt love pasta?!?!) and watch a good movie and call it a day.

  5. Don't sit around and do nothing in your basement, come up with somethings that you and your close friends enjoy doing. Got a video game system? Maybe you could have a competition. Break out the board games, nothing like a long game of monopoly or Risk. Or find an activity that seems fun that might be new to you, like a craft or something and do that. Just look for fun things and try that out! Happy Birthday!!!

  6. go to the movies thats fun but make them pay there own tickets and then only you have to pay yours then go to your house and have some cake! :)

  7. watch some sweet sixteen episodes on MTV...

    lol

  8. im not 16 yet but my brother did..so listen....make tha party in da basement..be created....order food,(doesnt hafta be a pizza either)have stuff 2 do-PLAY GUTAR HERO!FAV!just have loads of fun bein creative...or(since im spoiled and all), ARGUE WIT MOM! stupid idea but i get almost everythin i want. get a point higher 2 what u want

  9. Just go to a park.   Bring some things like a frizbee, nerf football, lawn chairs, blankets, baseball bat with a tennis ball.

Sometimes if your at a larger park there will be a hotdog stand there selling vending food.   Just tell your friends to bring cash & the drinks are on you.

  10. you may try this,to enjoy with your friends without costing much you can invite them all to a chat at your basement. You said that your mother can order pizza.you can order that pizza and enjoy it with your friends and chat the whole day

  11. if you got video games then just play with them

make sure you have drinks and chips

  12. I had the same problem and wound up doing a Murder Mystery.  They're pretty great and you can have a very small amount of people come to a very large amount of people.

I used the site www.nightofmystery.com and really loved their products.  The themes and story lines are great, and there's no script, which makes for an ultra good time.  The games are also pretty reasonable too, which your mom will like.

And, a plus for you, my friends and I all had a really great time.

  13. Maybe try to gather up games and stuff that you can do when you are bored. Sometimes talking about gossip is also fun. Maybe you could pay for the dinner or you can go to a movie. Hint:: if you go o a restaurant try aiming for the places that aren't  to expensive but not to cheap. (RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE!)
