Size Limit for sending photos to a Yahoo group?

Question

I'm trying to e-mail photos from our holiday party to our group members (most of them don't have a Yahoo ID, so the photo album doesn't work for everyone). I keep getting an error message that the e-mail is over the size limit. When I send the same message to another e-mail address, the message and pictures get there fine -- ergo, the issue is with the group e-mail address.

By the way, the message option for attachments is set to "distribute" and I'm a moderator for the group. There are 5 photos with a combined size of 1.6 megs. Any ideas as to what else I can do?

P.S. the group activity log does not show my attempts to send the message. The photos are attached to a plain format message from Outlook, the ISP is RoadRunner.

some times you need to resize the pictures, and send them in more than one post. my e-mail provider will resixe them for me, it seems you need to resize them for it to go through

Messages up to 1MB can be delivered to your group. This includes both the message body and the attachment. As a general rule, attachments should be no larger than 800KB. If you post a message larger than 1MB it will be returned to you.

There is a limitation for size of attachments, if the size is over that limitation, the mail is returned to you. So, you should attach smaller files/photos...

If you have access to the group as a moderator, then just make a album and and upload the picture instead in of emailing the pictures, it automatically fit the picture,. Note pics have to be in jpeg format only to upload into the photo sectioin.
