and it also depends on how tall you are... but typically most people have a 16" to 17" seat size when talking about a western saddle...

its different then english saddles

Western saddles are very different then English the smaller the English the different the western

a 15 to 16 should be fine

Please make sure you buying a WELL KNOWN SADDLE not the ones that come from India or Mexico

try buying a used roping saddle it may cost more but they where made lots better then some new ones and REMEMBER FIT THE '''HORSE FIRST
