Size estimate on a 2008 yaris?

how big are the new yaris'? like, compared to a honda civic, or a malibu, or somthing like that? im trying to make sure it's small enough for what i want for my daughter.

A lot smaller.  They are about the same size as a Hyundai Accent or Chevy Aveo.

I owned a 2002 toyota corolla, and then sold it and bought a 2008 yaris. I swear to god, its bigger than the corolla was. It's got a small hood which kind of makes the whole thing appear to be small, but the inside is incredibly spacious. It's a great car though! I love it!

If you love your daughter, do not buy the Yaris.

My friend was recently involved in a totaling accident on her 2007 Yaris. She hit a telephone pole on the front right corner, spun, and hit something else in back. The roof had to be cut off to remove the passengers.

None of the airbags went off.

The accident was a result of poor traction in the rain, the car's very low weight, and Toyota's oversight on safety features. She wasn't speeding or impaired.

The yaris is approx the same size as the honda fit, which is even smaller than the honda civic.

If ur getting this car for your daughter and shes just learning to drive, i wouldnt. I would get her a big buick so she doesnt get hurt, cause if a suv hit a car like the yaris or fit, there wouldnt be much left...
