Size of horse/pony i should ride

whats the minimum size i would ride

i am the same size and the same weight and i have a 14.1-14.2h pony

however i am way too big for him so my trainer suggested anything over 15.0h high for me so i would say between 15 and 16.1 hands

I am 5'4 and I have two horses one 16.0 and he works good but I prefer larger horses. my other is about 16.4 and works a lot better sometime though it depends on the types of riding you do I do barrel racing and my taller horse Is as tall as i would go with barrels how ever jumping I might wanna go a lil taller.
