  1. The size of the board you are looking for depends on the riding she will be doing. Im 6 foot and ride a 158, right under my chin. The ideal size for most beginners or for freeriding is between the chin and nose. But typically a longer board is ideal for going faster, and freecarve. While shorter boards are for control and freestyle. Overall its a personal preference to her and what she will be doing on the slopes.

-Best of luck in your search for the board.

  2. I ride a board that is around 60" I am 5'5" and my board goes up to about my nose. So i would suggest looking for a board around that size. As for the foot size. That has to do with the bindings not so much the board

  3. From my knowledge, the length of the board means little compared to the rider being in the right weight range for the board.

I'd probably suggest a 154, or something close to her nose. Because they would be closer to the weight range, they will also work better on powder snow being longer, but the only small problem would be the slightly harder, barley measurable, ability to menouver the board.

There is no go to formula to getting a board, just what your daughter would be most comfortable with, with weight rather than height being the more important factor in finding a board..

You could get her to hire a couple? Just to see if she'd prefer a slightly longer board, but yeah I'd probably go slightly longer..

  4. It really depends on what she is comfortable with and also the level of experience she has with snowboarding. For different snow conditions a shorter board is better, or vice versa. Example: man made snow vs. real snow, does she do tricks, etc..etc...

    I am also 5'4" and I use a board size 154 cm.

    www.the-house.com recommends a 138 - 149 cm...

I would have your daughter go in and check out boards just to be sure.
