  1. hahaaa. definitley!

these "celebrities" are giving today's youth the idea that being un-healthy by not eating, binge-eating then throwing up, etc. are okay to do.

plus, i don't enjoy looking at them either.

it's just digusting to know that people look up to and admire these people who can't even take care of themselves..

  2. Well sometimes it makes people want to be more Healthy. and Stop eating at places like McDonald's. I blame Barbie for this nonsense!

  3. You can't discriminate against size and most designers dont. Not really. The reasons that the models are so small is because the clothes are. Fabric costs money and the less you have to spend, the more you can save.

  4. Not entirely right.  I just graduated to a size 1 after being a size 0 for most of my life.  I am 32 yrs old, have 2 children.  I hit every milestone that was supposed to make me gain weight to no avail.  I'm waiting on menoupause.   I have struggled to gain weight, and have put up with more verbal abuse from perfect strangers than anyone should have to.  They have no problem saying that I look like a twig, or that I look anorexic.  Meanwhile, when I walk into a restaurant I would not be so rude as to walk up to someone over- enjoying the all you can eat buffet and tell them that they are sooo fat that they look like a hippo!  Funny how one comment seems more politically correct then the other.  Anyhow, thin has always been in.  I find it hard to believe that we will change this.  No, 0 shouldn't be the "norm" BUT, Americans need to wake up and realize that size 14 SHOULDN'T be the norm either. The ever increasing "norm" is just an excuse for all of our over indulgences.  The media in general should just be shot.  They are the blame for many problems in todays society.

  5. I don't think there is anything wrong with being a size zero. I am a size zero and I am one of the most physically healthy people I know. I eat(mainly healthy food, but I enjoy unhealthy snacks and dessert) frequently and I exercise everyday(I am a sprinter on my school's track team). However, there are people who are size zero who are not healthy. They are underweight, much too skinny for their height and/or age. What can I say? It's the "ideal look" in the nation right now, and it's unfortunate, but not much can be done about it. I disagree with you on McDonalds; too much of it can do serious harm on a person's body. But healthy food is something a lot of people these days try to avoid. Anoxeria and bullemia are certainly serious problems in this time and place, but obesity seems to be an even bigger problem. I read from a reliable source that a shocking 63% percent of Americans are overweight. With those who are overweight, and those who are underweight, I wonder how many people are actually physically healthy in the U.S.

  6. I totally agree! I think nothing is sexier on a girl than some hips, chest, and maybe even a little round belly. You go girl.

  7. YUP

  8. Well... If they take skinny girls off of magazine covers, it might make naturally size 0 girls who hate being thin, feel ugly. And most models are size 0 or close to it and that wont change because designers dont have time to fit clothes for "curvy" girls that might not look right in a certain dress or whatever, skinny girls seem to look better in them. I do agree with you that the size 0 girls that look like nicole richie or just look completely ill shouldn't be flaunted the way they are, but magz take pics of celebs eating cheeseburgers and are like "FATTY!!" then, when the celeb gets skinny they are critisizing them for being too thin.

I think some celebs look ok being really skinny, but some you can just tell are ill.

  9. they should have all size models in all mags then people will change the perception if they just don't see one type all the time

  10. well I guess they should ban makeup too. The world needs models. Why show not attractive models when they can show attractive ones? What they need to do is determine what is attractive esp. to guys, and I don't think size 0 is. So they shouldn't ban it, just alter their messed up views of "general" beauty

  11. Yeah you are totally right.  I've brought my kids up with no complexes about food.  If your hungry eat and if you do, make sure you eat enough healthy to cover the unhealthy.  It is all about balance.

  12. i think it's not fair people do that.

half the reason people like to be "SKINNY" is because they think the look "FINE" when all u see is no curves and something jus very flat. this really disgusts me alot!!

  13. b/c some girls NATURALLY look like that and they shouldnt be persecuted OR made feel like they need to be fitting into 1 stereotype or the other i kno wat ur trying 2 say but saying that all the skinny ppl need 2 get fat is unhealthy too and if that happens EVERYBODY would become overweight and that is unhealthy too

    AND

celebs are created by US=regular ppl so we should take the blame 4 anorexic/bulimic celebs

    AND

    its allowed not ALOUD

check ur spelling be4 u post

  14. when people see their favorite celebs they want to be just like them... I dont think it's wrong for size0/1 models to be on covers because I am a size 0 and that is healthy for me... I am going to turn 14 tomorrow and when I read magazines I get actually do want to look like some of the celebs. I will never hurt my body to look like anyone even though it's okay to be skinny we need to teach people to love their bodies and what they look like.

  15. Sure, but they have to sell their magazines.

I find it disgusting too, but thanks to Hollywood and the fashion industry, thin is what is in. The thinner the better according to some.

  16. some girls thats how there built
