Sizing Europe and Big Zeb’s rivalry to escalate in the Sportingbet.com Queen Mother Champion Chase
With the Sportingbet.com Queen Mother Champion Chase just around the corner, the punters are paying close attention to the runners, who will be competing in the Cheltenham Festival. This race is scheduled to take place on 14th March,
2012, the Ladies Day of the festival.
The final line-up consists of eight runners including Sizing Europe and Big Zeb, who have an on-going race rivalry.
The punters are looking to oppose Sizing Europe, trained by Henry De Bromhead. Up till now, he was expected to deliver his best performance, but with Big Zeb’s presence in the picture, things are looking a little dull for him.
The son of Pistolet Bleu, out of Jennie Dun, landed his seasonal debut.  He was the race favourite, but he successfully defeated evening favourite, Big Zeb, by an immense margin of 15 lengths in the Grade 2 Boylesports.com Tied Cottage Chase, which
was held at Punchestown on 5th February, 2012.
The odds are tilting in Big Zeb’s favour for this race. Both these geldings are known to race in an outstanding manner. The competition against each other is another reason why this race is causing such a stir among the bookmakers.
Trained by C. A. Murphy, the eleven-year-old gelding has been training for this festival in order to build up his strength and form.
The son of Oscar, out of Our Siveen, entered the Grade 1 Boylesports.com Champion Chase with winning odds of 9 to 4, and defeated the race favourite, Sizing Europe, by a narrow margin of ¾ of a length on 3rd May 2011, at Punchestown.
The rivalry will be renewed in this race as both of these runners will be looking to hit the wire first. If either of them wins, they will settle this rivalry once and for all.
Finian’s Rainbow is also competing, but his popularity in the market is not that prominent. The son of Tiraaz, out of Trinity Gale, impressed his connections with his performance in the opening race of 2012.

He was the joint favourite with the odds of 5 to 2, but lost to, Somersby, in the Grade 1 25th Anniversary Of The Victor Chandler Chase (registered as Clarence House Chase).
With the world’s best trainers, runners and jockeys, the Cheltenham Festival will be a source of adrenaline rush for the spectators, bookies and punters.
