Sizing for goalie pads?

  1. You need to measure your ankle-to-knee in order to understand your size.  Each manufacturer is different, so have the number handy when shopping.

    When you try on your pads, it's a good idea to bring your skates and pants with you to wear with the pads to ensure they fit properly.

Yes, you must get your ankle-to-knee as that is the measurement used in sizing goalie pads.  I would guess that you are in about a 30 in pad.  I am about 5-3 and I have a 29 in pad with a one inch thigh rise.  I would say that you should bring at least your pants with you when you go shopping in stores, to see if the pads get caught up in the pants.  Also, check out this place, it is all goalies and they can help you out tremendously.  I have gotten alot of help there when I was searching for my new set.  Which turned out to be Eagle Sentry's.
