There will be more than 1,000 sailors of Olympic and Paralympic class to represent 62 nations in the Skandia Sail for Gold Regatta. The event also encourages local schools to take part by sending
in their drawings of the international flags of competing countries at the regatta.
Peter Kruger-Andersen and Nicolai Thorsell of Denmark can also be one of the top contenders for the title as they performed brilliantly in the Delta Lloyd Regatta to move at the top of the Standings.
World number one Austrian sailors, Nico Delle - Karth and Nikolaus Resch will also be on the list.
Semaine Olympique Française champions, Pietro Sibello and Gianfranco Sibello from Italy have also shown a lot of consistent performances in the ISAF World Sailing Cup season and the pair will be eyeing

The students are asked to compile a thorough research on sailing countries and learn about them. The schools will pick their favourite country and will have an opportunity to meet the sailing team
of that country; the German team has been adopted by Budmouth College.
