Skate On all set to upset Wells Honour in Sunderland’s HTB Electrical Contractors Standard Trophy Heat 2
Skate On steps into Sunderland’s HTB Electrical Contractors Standard Trophy full of confidence after a few magnificent performances. An excellent win at the A1 level pushed the connections to bring her up at the top level, where she continued the good work to ensure a comprehensive victory last week.
In a 290 metres open race, the brindle b***h led the proceedings from pillar to post, grabbing an easy 1 3/4-length victory. After two back-to-back wins at the competitive level, Skate On’s confidence is touching the seventh sky.
So, one can easily expect her to come up with a splendid effort in second heat of the HTB Electrical Contractors Standard Trophy on Friday, August 24, 2012.
The 450 metres heat is scheduled to begin at 20:42 GMT. A cash prize of £150 is reversed for the successful hound. Among Skate On’s rivals are: Wells Honour, Citizen Saga, Ballygree Romeo, Orlandos Court and Hats My Diamond.
Without a doubt, Wells Honour is the biggest threat to Skate On. A. Dawson’s charge recently suffered a few defeats, but seems to have regained momentum by running well in a couple of trial races.
His track record at this venue is also quite decent. In an open race on July 12th, the dark brindle hound managed to seize the runner-up spot behind Loughteen Blanco. An early advantage can see him home tonight.
Citizen Saga is taking part in an open race after more than four weeks. Although the blue dog recently ran very well in the trials, one cannot expect him to dominate the proceedings tonight.
A slow start can prove costly for Hats My Diamond. On the other hand, Orlandos Court’s recent efforts suggest that he can ruffle a few feathers. Ballygree Romeo is one of the many looking to make an early move. It will surely be a very tough task though.
Wells Honour and Skate On are going to produce a lot of excitement. Both hounds are likely to make it to the next round of the championship. The latter is in great shape, and should be preferred. Good luck to all the runners.
