Skate On unlikely to trouble Fernhill Jess in Showsec Scurry Cup - 3rd Semi-final at Belle Vue
Skate On and Fernhill Jess, both are all set to reach the final of Belle Vue’s Showsec Scurry Cup, but it will be interesting to see who dominates the proceedings in the third semi-final, to be held on Thursday night.
Skate On stepped into this clash by virtue of a close win in the first round. Despite getting badly bumped in the beginning, the brindle b***h did not lose momentum, and ran on to clinch the first position.
She is really ticking over nicely, and a huge threat to all. Winning two of previous three races shows how dangerous she is. M. Walsh’s trainee is a talented hound, but it is hard to trust her blindly, because she is up against a giant of the game.
Fernhill Jess has five consecutive wins under her belt, and looks the one to beat. Her last act was mighty impressive. Despite getting crowded at the first bend, the white, blue and brindle b***h quickly established her dominance, and stayed ahead throughout.
An excellent effort guided the b***h to an easy 2¼-length victory over Rockchase Jack. She is in conquering form, and anything near to her previous act will be enough to seal the victory tonight.
Besides the aforementioned pair, there are four other participants. But none of them is expected to make an impact. The event is scheduled to get started at 20:47 GMT.
Rockchase Jack has shown a tendency to move off round bends. The black and white dog is likely to face another loss at the hands of Fernhill Jess.
Slick Sian needs to be foot perfect at the traps. Similarly, Call Me Freddie requires the career best effort to be successful. Swabys Tony is more than capable of throwing a spanner into works, but unfortunately, he is facing a very hard opposition.
According to our calculations, all four contestants will only see a battle between Fernhill Jess and Skate On from behind. The former is in slightly better rhythm, and should be preferred. However, she will have to be flawless in order to get the better
