What are the latest events on the west coast? How are west coast skaters different from east coast skaters? Is the skating trend on a downward slope?

Longboarding is the hottest trend in skateboarding.  It had a 1400% gain in 2006.  The majority of longboarders are older (20+) riders wanting to get back into skateboarding, but don;t want to take the risks of street or vert skating.

that way you could do tricks in bowls and half pipes and stuff.

i don't really know the difference but im a west coast skater.

the skating trend is actually getting MUCH popular. back then with nyjah williams, it was so easy to get sponsored because not many people were into skating or serious about it, but now, everyone wants to do it and it makes it harder to get sponsored because of it.
