I'm pretty new to skateboarding and i only have a cheap board, i mean like £10 [about $17]. I'm looking to buy a new board, i don't mind buying it in pieces if it's worth it. I can spend pretty much up too £150 [$270] for everything. I need the best for improving street skating and learning to do more tricks. I want to know what brands and stuff are good. Thanks for any help.

  1. deck- get alien workshop, zero, or plan b. they have great quality , last long. plus theyre light which makes the board flip faster when you do flip tricks. also they have deep concave for higher pop. *dont get element, they may be light but they dont last long. my freind had element and it only laster for like 3 weeks. he easily chipped the nose/ tail of the board*

trucks- get phantoms or destructos. theyre freggin light which once again, makes the board flip faster. but, choose phantoms over destructo because theyre much lighter. and they come with these shock pads at the bottom of the truck. and the bushings are soft which makes the turns smooth and stable. they both have great colors and graphics. the downside, the bottom part scratches off, but thats only if you grind on em. Im not saying you shouldnt grind. lol

bearings- get bones reds!!! they have removable shields for easy cleaning. and tney already come with bones speed cream. plus they roll smooth. and theyre cheap. if you really want an awesome quality bearing, the bestest bearings in the world get Swiss ceramic bearings. they are so worth buying ( they cost about $100)

wheels- I suggest you buy Bones wheels. they have these insane formulas for different skatings. STF formula are for street, meaning the wheels are hard. theyre easy to do popshuvits and blunts on. and the SPF formula, are for skateparks. they softer and smoother. Do not get any type of wheels with cores on them. the first time i skated on wheels with cores on em, it just exploded on me (not literally. lol). but its kinda annoying how you could feel the bumps and cracks on the sidewalk when i skated on them. plus it feels like my feet are getting numb.

Almost is a good brand most of the decks are shallow concave. though some skaters prefer shallow concaves.

if you preffer a beginner's setup get world industries.
