Skater or Security?

Question

People are skate boarding. Security comes along.

Which side of the story are you on?

I skated for years and hung out with skaters. Got scars to prove it.

I would automatically side with the skaters. you got to back your peeps up.

I would also know there was a high likelihood that the skaters were breaking some rules and needed to get ushered off. Sorry to say it but have you seen what damage a deck can do to a park bench, even a concrete one? All that thrashing gets expensive, keep it in the skate parks or after hours.

Not to mention some moves tend to need wide space which brings the skater in a wide arc which often comes very near the path of pedestrians. YOU may know you have the deck under control and won't crash into an innocent victim. Doesn't mean you wooshing by doesn't intimidate folks, folks who can and will call security.

Like I said I would back up a skater but I would also see both sides of the coin.

I stink at skating, but I normalyl find myself on that side since all my friends used to skate.
