  1. I had exactly the same problem but amny of the TV shows I like had great theme tunes that, thankfully, were real classical tunes.Like The Apprentice. The theme tune to that was so inspiring to me, that I'm using it and now i'm searching for a Romeo and Juliet ice skating dress.Search for Bolshoi theatre orchestra Algis Zuraitis.Good luck and hope you do well in future compititions. xx =)

  2. look and people's skating programmes on youtube (generally not the higher level skaters who have 4 or 5  min programmes but lower levels so the music is more interesting) if you don't know the music try asking what it is in the comments section or post another question with a link on yahoo answers (try searching Katlynne McNab- a good American skater or Alexandra Brown- me a not so good skater, also i have videos of my friends programmes on there and also click on my friends profiles and the bottom of the page and watch their videos) Hope this helps- it took me 2 months to find the piece i have now.

  3. Try something diff besides classical. Try new age/world or something. Some good artists that my coach have used for her 20 students are Bond, David Lanz, Acoustic Alchemy, and Jesse Cook.

  4. Try to not use the classical music because they will most likely lullaby the audience to sleep.. Use songs that are abit more lively like with a beat.. Because it is through these songs that you'll be able to catch the attention of the audience and judges. Try the songs of Bond. They're great. Because.. trust me.. classical music is kinda old and too used.

  5. karoke version of Sara Brightman songs. i skated to time to say goodbye (the one w/ songs) today morning for my competition. but GOOD LUCK!

  6. i skated to music from Father of the Bride once and it was really good!

or i skated to Mozart by The Trans-Siberian Orchestra and it was fun music

    or music from Jurassic Park

OR irish music like from lord of the dance usually gets judges attention!

and i will agree that everyone skates to pirates of the carribbean, but there is some good music from the soundtrack that isnt the regular one!

    good luck!
