Skating on stilts??

Question

anyone heard of it? or have any ideas or suggestions how i can get started doing it? i'm really interested in trying it. i know its possible.

I've seen that in shows . . . but have no idea how you would get started doing that!  Definitely not something they would allow you to practice in any of the public or freestyle sessions!

First, I would think you should know basic skating on normal skates before stilt skates.  

Maybe try going on the forum at icetricks.com to see if anyone else out there is doing it or has suggestions on where to get started

See what ice shows/circus acts are out there who have stilt skaters and see if you can contact those skaters - to see how they learned - or to possibly to become an apprentice skater.
