Ski Racing?

Question

Hey,

I just wanted to see how many people ski race (downhill). If you do what age class [J4, J3,J2 (second or first year?), Fis, ect.] where your team is, best event (SL, GS, SG, DH), best place and in what event?

Just curious and bored. :)

Hey, used to race J1/2, and coached J4's after I was done racing. I think I liked the faster events: GS mostly.

I prefer "natural" gates now. Trees, rocks, drops...

Senior masters circuit +60,  I was a DH  and GS  specialist. Too big and too slow reflexes for SL after my mid 20's.  The GS was more like super G.  About your boots, if you are near Seattle there are at least 2 top fitters in the area.

yes, i do downhill race. It's fun. Age? well, i'm only twelve, but going on  thirteen, and i have been skiing for 10-11 years, now. BEST SPORT EVER!!!!  I am a super g- kind of person.I have a team in blue mountain.

I race as a 1st year J3 and i love it my favorite races are the fast ones although I'm pretty good in SL so........ i still love it and plan to keep moving forward in it :)

im a freestyle skier (jst thought i could throw that out there) but its sooooooooooooooooooo much more fun soo much more of a thrill

Doubt this "counts" but I tried NASTAR for the first time this year.  I had several bronze-qualifying runs, but nothing higher.  It's hard to join a regular team when you live in Indiana :(

I grew up racing up to provincial devolpment team.  I now race masters, and club races, out of Horseshoe Valley, Barrie ON. Best event was, and still is GS.  My favorite format is dual slalom, I raced in a few pro races back in the seventys, but i sucked!

live in Kansas so only race NASTAR qualified for nationals past 4 years got 4th last time i was able to go.
