  1. If its a large jump in a terrain park you are going to need a lot of speed to get to the landing. Don't ever slow down. Most times you'll need a full tuck. If its a jump on the side of a trail you won't need to go fast at all. If you're more comfortable hitting it slow, it won't matter. Just come into the jump, make sure you're weight is forward (so that you don't land in the backseat off the jump) and give a little pop at the lip of the jump. I like to touch (you don't have to grab it just touch it) my skis at the binding to make sure I have a smooth landing and make it look cool. If you're not comfortable with this you don't have to do it. For the landing try to have your skis parrallel to the ground for a nice smooth landing. Keep your legs extended so that you can absorb the shock of the landing with your knees and ride away. Also most situations will not be risking your life. The snow is soft and will cushion your landing nicely. I have fallen hundereds of times and I have never broken a bone or received a concussion. So just go out and try it. Thats the only way to actually learn something.
