Hertha Berlin’s new manager http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Michael-c25261 Skibbe has insisted that his side has a good chance of qualifying for Europe at the end of the season.
Hertha http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Berlin-c7536 have had a good season so far after being promoted to the Bundesliga at the end of the last season. They currently lie in 11th place on the league standings table with 20 points from the 17 games played,
winning four and losing five in the process.
Skibbe has targeting a European place for the club at the end of the season. He claimed that the side definitely has the potential to finish higher in the league and deserve to be in a good position as they have a rich history.
He admitted that one of the main reasons for signing for the club was the great tradition the club has and that he is looking forward to guide the club in the second-half of the campaign.
“My aim is to lead the club up the league. Hertha are one of the clubs with the greatest traditions in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Germany-c2904; they are the club from the capital and have huge potential, and that is why I am looking forward to working with Hertha,”
he was quoted as saying in an interview.
The former Borussia Dortmund boss added that the Blue-Whites also have a great chance of qualifying for the last four of the DFB-Pokal as they have a home game against Borussia Monchengladbach in early February. He insisted that
the team has a very good chance of placing themselves in the semi-final but will have to work hard for it.
“However, for the first time in years, Hertha are still in the cup at this stage and we have a home game against Borussia Monchengladbach in February and we have the chance of reaching the next round. Our aim has therefore got
to be to reach the semi-finals,” he concluded.
Hertha Berlin will play their next game against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/1-FC-Nuremberg-c38162 in the Bundesliga on Saturday, January 21, at the easyCredit Stadium. The Berlin outfit will be seeking revenge as they lost the game against Nuremberg at home in August
on the opening day of the season.
