  1. no deal but snowboarders[me] rule!!!!!!!!!!!

  2. It's not SO much that way anymore...several years ago skiers didn't take kindly to Out-of-Control..rude,arrogant Snow-Boarders...who didn't show respect on the slopes...most of them have developed a sense of decorum as of late...for which we skiers are glad! I have taught my 3 Snow-Boarders to be respectful on the Hill and they will be shown respect(most of the time)though there  still are some skiers who are very Territorial and will never like Snow-Boarders. Most has to do with the age gap between the two...Snow-Boarders are generally alot younger than the Skiers!

  3. Well, I snowboard and ski, so I can't hate myself, can I? I think that's just in movies. Or maybe it's because most snowboarders tend to be out of line and most skiers tend to be more preppy and good kids. Not always, I'm neither of those, but movies of snowboarding and skiing have built that stereotype up to the point where skiiers hate snowboarders. Well, I don't think they really hate them... Maybe it's just some kind of friendly grudge, I dunno...

  4. Snowboarding's always been viewed as the rebellious thing.  Skiers tend to be older and more in-line, while boarders tend to be younger.  There are boarder jerks, but I see more skiers that are jerks.  In my opinion, boarders are more laid back, but I've seen  some that are too wild.  They're the ones that keep this stereotype going.  I think people have a tendency to focus on the bad parts of people while overlooking the good.  For the most part, boarders are cool, but there are a few that are jerks.  Then there are skiers who are cocky and jerks themselves.  I roll with both, skiers and boarders.  We're all part of the new generation, and we all get along.

Skiers think that we get in the way when we're strapping in or sitting down, which I'll admit, I've been caught in a huge mass of boarders taking there time strapping in, but the majority of skiers on the trails tend to go really slow.  I mean REALLY slow.  Making huge S's that are usually pretty unpredictable.  Most of the boarders I know go in smaller linked turns, and go faster than many skiers.  Then they slow down, but pick back up with the rhythm.

Another big complaint I have about skiers is the ones that go through the park not doing anything off jumps and rails.  BUT, they think they can do whatever they want.  They see us sitting above a jump and assume we're not going.  We're sitting there waiting to call a drop.  Proper park etiquette.  Everybody should know that.  I've been cut off as I was dropping by countless skiers who slow down right before the jump and get about an inch of air....and fall usually.

It goes both ways.  Skiers complain about how we sit down and are rude.  We complain about how they can be just as rude, are dangerous in the park, and go really slow on the trails.

It's a trend that's starting to vanish, but still has some ways to go.

I've seen a skier kid slay the rails at Creek though.  A lot better than the rest of the skiers in the park there.

  5. snowboarders don't like skiers cause skiers didn't want snowboarders on their hill. plain and simple. there are still three resorts in america who wont allow boarders. i personally like skiers.  they are fun to ride with cause they can pull u with their polls if needed and i admire the ones who hit the terrain park or do triks (2 of my frends do this).  Ther will still be stupid people who wil still hate one another but what ever.  However the one thing i have against some skiers is that they will stop in the middle of a groomer where it is not even a slow zone.  a couple times i have decked a skier on accident cause he or she just stopped right in front of me. they give me a dirty look, makes me want to flip em the bird, but i'm a nice guy, i dont do that. other than that, i dont hav a thing against skiers.  i do think however, a lot of adult skiers hate snowboarders cause they think we mess up the runs

  6. I'm a rider and I don't have beef with skiers. Heck My best friend skies. But it Seems that the skier are always older and riders younger. And there's always been a clash between young and old. Old think the young are rude and immature.

That's How I see it. I've never gotten yelled at by a kid skiers. jsut their parents.

  7. well if you are on a lift with a skiier it can be hard to get off, and when we sit to strap in sometimes we block the way. Also maybe it's because some snowboarders (mostly when starting out) fall alot and can block the way for a skiier. I'm a snowboarder and I went with four guys all on skiis, and we had great fun- one of them pulled me along flat parts with his poles! i think that skiiers and snowboarders can easily get along, just need to respect each other.

  8. Skiiers and snowboarders seem to not like eachother because the two sports tend to prefer different snow and mountain conditions.  This is probably the reason that skiiers love moguls and snowboarders think that moguls are evil.

  9. I am a skiier, but one of my best friend is a snowboarder and we get along great.

  10. Most skiers and snowboarders get along fine these days.  As with any group, you still have those who don't fit that standard, but then again some people can't get along with anybody!  Some resorts are not suited to snowboarders.  If there is no room at the top of a run for snowboarders to strap their back foot in, then there tends to be clumps of snowboarders getting ready to go.  Skiers can just push away from the lift and ski away.  Some feel that the snowboarders are in the way: understandable.  What they don't see is the times when they stop at the top of a run to look at the view or to chat, they are also in the way.  As I said, most people who enjoy snow-sports like each other just fine - there are intolerant people in all groups.

  11. i think some people (skiers) are kind of jealouse of snowboardes.  were kind of the cool thing to do.
