  1. i wouldnt buy any right away until you rent a few different pairs because you really want to be sure they  r pretty expensive.

and if you really want the best ones check out what showoffs

on the slopes r wearing and wait for them to go in for a hot chocolate or beer and take theirs.(i promise i wont tell a sole!)

  2. I would go w/line,  i haven't skii'd in about 15 years since i started riding, but i was up at loon last winter and everyone was raving about line skis

  3. I think maybe look into twin tipped skis. they are rounded on both ends and were made for jumps so if you do a 180 you won't catch an edge with the back side of your skis. There are many brands that make good skis like that.

  4. You should get a pair of twin tips.  they are a lot lighter than other skis and are turned up at both ends for skiing and landing backwards.

Here are some companies to look at:

    LINE

    K2

    Armada

    Volkl

    Salomon

    Dyastar

  5. without a doubt get twin tips always get twins unless you are racing. So start out by looking at how long are you gonna try jumping (jibbing) for. If you want to try it out then rent for one season and that deal, If you are gonna stick with it then by some skis. I suggest brands like

    Salamon

    Rossingol

    Line

    Armada

    and Volkl

Salamon has a ski just for introduction to park and pipe
