  1. hey there!!

Well from what i have heard  Mt. Ruapehu is a popular skiing area.....And i think its pretty good...Skiing lessons and a popular holiday spot..Although i'd love to go there some time :) --->  http://www.mtruapehu.com/

Ohau is like in central South Island its known as one of the best New Zealand snowboarding areas but sort of remote but also well known for its parties!

Wanaka - near Queenstown - is the capital these days for snowboarding in New Zealand. Cardrona is one of the most popular fields, with a number of pipes and parks specifically for boarders of all levels. Across the valley the Snow Park has purpose built facilities.

If you want to know about the ski season and snowboarding season, its usually from June to early Nov. June and July are the coldest months, but August is the peak winter and great time to go skiing :)

Hope i helped you out :)

  2. Auckland is a bit flat and warm for that.

Head to South Island.  Queenstown is the centre of that universe.

    Their Winter is our Summer.
