Question:

Skiing/Winter Adventure Trip on a Budget?

Looking to plan a skiing/winter trip to either Colorado/New Mexico for the Christmas break. I am looking at those two states because of their closeness to Texas. I'm trying to get a group trip out with my friends and teammates, we're all college students and new to skiing. We are an active bunch (tennis team and camping trips) and would like a trip that would be fun and very affordable so we can still make it back to Jan. and be able to pay for classes and our books.

Any ideas or suggestions on how to keep cost low? I've been to Breckenridge before but that place was expensive. We're planning on driving there since it will be a larger crowd at least 7 or 8 but it could be larger.

Any help would be grateful. Thanks for your time.

  1. You could try contacting us.  We have a travel agency that generally can book trips below the normal searches.  Our number is 724-831-6901.  You will be talking to Betty.  Good Luck!

  2. For starters I would order a winter tour guide book to each of these locations. It will help you on the cost of places to stay and the many ski places. It will also give you ideas on how to get there since many of the roads in Colorado will be closed and places to eat. Then when you find a location that you like then look up there website for photos and satisfaction ranks. They take about 2-4 weeks to get and there free so it worth the wait if you want to save some money when planning a trip.
