  1. i use to ski and snowboard but i quit cause i didnt want to do it any more lol!

  2. When you're snowboarding, one of your shoulders is always leading the rest of you body, and when you're skiing, you face down the mountain unless you are turning.

  3. There are actually major differences.  I do both frequently.  When you're snowboarding you have much less control over what your doing, which is much more challenging.  Snowboarding also wastes a lot of time because if you own a board you have to strap in at the top of a hill.  Snowboarding is also great if you want to break something or ache the next morning.  When you first start snowboarding you fall over when you stop.

Skiing is 10x easier because you can have complete control over where your going.  This is much more fun to do with a group of people because you don't tend to fall over.  If you live in ohio all the local ski places are easy and you can usually socialize while going down a hill.

I think that if your going to a major resort skiing is much better because you won't look stupid.  Whereas if your going somewhere tiny and local i suggest trying out snowboarding

  4. SKIING-

TYPES Cross country, downhill, parabolic, freestyle, telemark

Hard "plastic" boots with usually 3 to 5 metal clasps

Bindings are step in, insert toe and push on heel

Use poles, can do the splits when you fall, can cross your skis and fall if not used to it, skis can come flying off and hit you as you fall

    Way easier to learn on

    SNOWBOARDING

TYPES splitboard, freestyle, freeride, all mountain, backcountry, race and freecarve

Usually soft boots with bindings that are hold the boot at 2 places, toe side and a little lower than ankle height.

Can have softboot stepin's or hardboot stepins for race or freecarve only. snowboard hardboots have rounded toe and heel to allow for more ground clearance when turning and have a foreward tilt to them making it impossible to stand straight with knees unbent without falling foreward.

Feet stay paralell to eachother when you fall and feet will not release from board..ever, unless you undo it youself.

and im sure there are alot more differences but thats it for me
