Skiing during march in colorado, good idea?

how's the snow there during that time of year? is it real busy during spring break?

Snow is awesome in March.  Spring break is busy, but since not everyone has spring break the same week, it's not terrible.  

Weekday skiing will be fine, weekends are pretty packed.

Which ski areas are you eying?

Can be iffy ,,,, last year was terrible

previous 5 years were great in Colorado

It is very crowded with many novice's so get to the top and don't come down till the end of the day as huge lift lines at the base

The snow will probably be good.  There will probably be a lot of spring breakers there - which can be a good thing ;)

I recommend Steamboat, Keystone (night skiing), Breckenridge and Arapaho Basin.

Utah is great too; Park City, Alta, Snowmass, Deer Run...

It's usually still pretty good, allow that if it's real good the mountain will be crowded. Any day skiing is better than the best day working.

i brought my little brother to ski in breckenridge last year during spring break (late march)...

the weather was still cold

the snow was still solf

and the mountain was not too busy

will be skiing this spring break again, this time at winter park or steamboat
