  1. Start at about 9 and end at 4. If you get tired, and if it is your first time skiing, you most likely will, quit early. But its always nicer to hit the slopes as early as you can because you'll get the best snow and the least amount of people.

  2. I usually go from about 10-4:30 with an hour or so for lunch and a coffee break too sometimes.

  3. Most areas are open about 9 am, and will close many ruins about 3 pm. Some areas will ski till 10 pm under the lights.

  4. I do long days twice a week

It starts around 8 am or 9 am

Eat lunch eairly or late so 11 am or 1:30 pm

It will end usualy around 3 or 4 pm if there is night skiing 10 pm if you would like

  5. most lifts open at 8:30 and close at 4:00

I plan on all day and bring your lunch or snacks with you and you'll save quite a bit as food on the mountain is very expensive

  6. Lifts typically start operating between 8 and 9am and run until around 3:30pm. Ski patrol usually starts doing "sweeps" around 3:45pm to ensure that everyone is off the mountain.

I usually ski from 8:30-3:30ish, with a lunch break usually around 11:30am, although sometimes when the snow is so amazing we can't stop, we just eat a protein bar on the lift and then chow at the end of the day!

    Have fun!

  7. start early

    end l8

  8. a half a day at the least (4 hours)

    you get so into it!

  9. It really depends on how fit you are.

Last time I went skiing my day started at around 10 (already on the slope), lunch at 13-1430, then ski again until 4ish (lifts stop at 5).

I suggest you do not worry about how long you are going to spend on the slope, stay as long(or as short) as you like, its a holiday~

    Enjoy

  10. I go skiing a lot and it really depends where you are - if you're going skiing in a large resort or at a small ski centre.

I live in central Scotland, not too far from Midlotian Snowsports Centre, an articficial slope, and lessons and practicies there are about 1-2 hours.

I was away skiing over the holidays though in the Alps, and was taking lessons with the ESF (Ecole du Ski Francais) and the sessions were 2 hours in the morning and two in the afternoon. I've also been away with my family on other occasions, and my dad likes to ski from about 9 or 10 in the morning until 4 or 5 in the afternoon, with about an hour for lunch at midday. This is about the maximum you're going to get skiing as the lifts tend to open no ealier than 9 and most shut between 3.30 and 4.30.

  11. start early  finish late  good luck dress warm

  12. usually I get up to the mountain at 8-8:30 to get everything ready and stuff and I go home around 4-5:00 but I'm not a pro... oh well
