  1. Utah is sooo boring!

  2. Of course!  You'll want to stay in downtown SLC, or up in Park City if you want any kind of a nightlife.  You'll see that it's not much different than any other city.

There are several ski resorts within driving distance, and there are buses and shuttles running regularly as well.

Yup, most of the major hotels have regular shuttles going back and forth to the hotel.  Otherwise there's a bus that picks up right outside the terminal that will go straight downtown.

PS) We've got a storm moving in RIGHT NOW that they expect to dump as much as 2 feet in the mountains!

PSS) The private club fees he's talking about are in reference to clubs that allow smoking inside, legally they have to call themselves a private club and charge a fee.  Again, not a big deal, easy to avoid.  And definitely worth putting up with for the snow that is infinitely superior than that you will find in Colorado.  honestly, who decides where they're going to go skiing based upon how easy it is to buy bear? lol

  3. Everyday there are buses going out of Salt Lake to Park City, so it's not that hard to get up there.  I havn't been there in 13 years, so I don't really know of any good bars or anything

  4. Ever tried to get a beer in Utah...bring some extra money, they will make you join a club...which is f-ing ridiculous.  Its a very interesting town with some very interesting people.  If it was me, I would go to Colorado.

  5. I have stayed in SLC four times over the years and also once in Park City. It is not the most exciting city, but the skiing certainly makes up for it and truthfully after a full day of skiing in the cottonwood canyons, I am not interested in anything more than a meal and then getting ready for the next day. You have a good selection of restuaraunts - most of the chains are there. There are some outstanding mexican restuaraunts such as the purple iguana. Once we went to a Utah jazz game which was fun. I think if you are looking for night life Park City is better, but when it comes to cost and proximatity to the Cottonwood Canyons which in my opinion are some of the best resrts in the nation, you can;t beat SLC. Try the Embassy Suite - I think the cost is $119 and it includes cooked to order breakfast and happy hour (beer and wine(,

    Hope this helps.
