Skiing or snowboarding Colorado?

Is better skiing closer to Denver or Boulder? I want to attend a college there thats why?

Breckenridge is the best place to board in CO i think. Whichever is closer to Breckenridge.

Denver and Boulder are fairly close to each other.  Boulder is about 20-30 minutes southeast of Boulder.  Even though Boulder is closer to the mountains (it's in the foothills) it probably takes the same amount of time to get to most of the bigger resorts.  Eldora is the closest resort (~ 30 min from Boulder) but it is kind of small.  Then you have Loveland and Winter Park which are ~ 45min and 60 min away.   Then you have all the other I-70 resorts.  You can pretty much get to any of them within 1 1/2 - 2 hours depending on traffic.  Vail is one of the bigger resorts and great on a powder day but Copper Mountain, Keystone, A-Basin and Breck all have some great spots too.  I'd say pick the college you like the best regardless of location b/c you can get to the resorts in about the same amount of time from either Denver or Boulder
