I used to work in a company that has been closed now, I have the experience letter plus some other documents like offer letter , salary revision letter from them ( on their official letter head ) , my question is how ACS will verify my claim for the experience ? given that there is no official office ( perhaps company still occupy the office but there is usually no one there to respond )

  1. I need more information to be able to determine what your problem is. For example are you in Australia on a temporary work visa and are worried how the company closure affects your visa status? If you are on a temporary visa then you have 28 days from when you finished with the company to find a new sponsor. Actually the immigration department requires that you notify them if there are any changes in your circumstances no matter how trivial it may seem.

I take it, ACS means the Australian computer society if so contact their office and ask what you have to do. After all that's why they are there to offer help. Here is their website:

    http://www.acs.org.au/index.cfm

In response to your additional information:

Okay what you need to do is apply to the ACS to do a skills assessment. They are the certifying body approved by the immigration department to assess overseas skills and you will need to have your skills assessed first before you can apply for any type of skilled visa. Go their web site and check for the section that will tell you how to get your skills assessed.

As this is a public forum we are limited to what information should be exchanged so please send me a message if you need further help.
