Skills needed for fashion designer :P ANSWER SOON?

Question

as many reasons as u can for how a fashion designer would use:

math

reading/writing

listening

speaking

you would use math to calculate yardage and you need to know the right measurments in order for the clothes to fit properly... you need reading and writing to understand the textile content of the fabric so you could wash and dry corretly.... listening to be able to understand what your client is looking for as in style.....speaking to be able to get your ideas across......hope this helps :D

math: measuring, cutting, graphic calculations

reading/writing: reports, resumes, edu, (aka:selling your product)

listening: teamwork, critisizm from clients

speaking: duh, communication.  you talk to everybody.

math: measurements and such.

reading/writing: well of course you need to read and write. u should be able to write down plans for your clothes and to write down ideas and stuff. you'll be asked to sign contracts and legal documents so reading comes in handy for that.

listening: you can listen to people's ideas. if you talk to friends about what they like you can incorporate that into your designs!

speaking: you'll need to be able to give good speeches/talks about your clothing and why it'll be cool and trendy to people! if you have people to help you, like interns, assistants and such, then you'll need to be able to give out straighforward advice and orders. also you speak to promote your products.

  to add the inches.

  to measure fabrics.

  to subtract the cm or inches.

  to find the area or perimeter of the fabric.

i think you only use math...
