Skimboarding, help please.?

i try to start by throwing down my board but it turns for some reason even if a throw it pretty hard, i just got it so theres nothing wrong with it its me, please help

try less of a throw and more of a drop next to you.  if you throw the board way out in front of you then you have to catch up to it and it gives the board more time to slow down and start to get funky on you.  instead as your runing drop the board almost directly next to you and jump on almost instantly.  this gives the board less time to turn and also allows you to keep your momentum.

Maybe you are throwing it at an angle without even realizing it.  It could also be the shore and how it slants, making the board turn.  Just keep trying different throwing "techniques" and find out what's best.  You can still ride it while turned even a little bit.

it definitely could be the rocks and shells in your way. Next time you throw it, make sure your not going against the wind. Also, it's less of a throw and mor of a toss. Make sure you throw it straight out and not down as well. Hope I helped!!

But  just practice.

Try throwing it in the direction the water is receding.
