Skimboards: Victoria Foamie vs. Zap Wedge?

OK, so Christmas is coming and I am trying to decide between these two skimboards. Both have almost exactly the same dimensions but the wedge is more expensive, anything better about it? I've been sand skimming for a while and want to get into wave riding, particularly at Aliso beach at Laguna Beach. So which board is better for a beginning wave rider at this beach?

  2. the foamie is good for carving into waves. I personally like the foamie better. My friend had a wedge and I didnt like it. The foamie is good for starting to go into waves.
