Hi!

I've heard that Avon skin so soft works as a fly spray/repellent/etc for horses. . .

But how do i use it?

What is the ratio(s) that I use to mix with water or whatever, that work best?

What do you guys use (if you use this)

Thanks!

  1. I use it on our goats and sheep (and dogs, and myself!) as a fly and mosquito repellant.  A good friend of mine uses it on her horses as well, one of which has a severe allergic reaction to most fly sprays and the bites themselves.  Skin so soft isn't as irritating as some of the other sprays.  It seems to work pretty good and I've been happy with the results.

I mix mine in a standard spray bottle and use 3 parts water to 1 part skin so soft.  My friend will use this mix to dilute Bronco spray for her horses - if you do this, use 2 parts water, 1 part skin so soft and 1 part Bronco.  The spray works pretty good and it doesn't bother her horse's sensitive skin.
