Skin dried out from using Proactiv! What can I do?

I recently went back to using the Proactiv skin care system because I was getting too many breakouts. It helped in that regard because I'm completely zit-free but it came with a nasty side effect: patches of dry skin on my T-zone and around the mouth.

Is there any other type of moisturizer I can use on top of it to combat the dryness?

Why would you want to use something that does this to you? Proactiv is a horrible product. Do some research, please. It may be popular and have nice ads on tv but this does not mean it is good.

Start by eating right, exercising, and drinking lots of water.

Think about where acne comes from. It does not come from the outside. Why would putting things on your skin help?

I had the same thing happen, OMG I use the Proactiv face cleanser twice a day and instead of using the lotion the give you, I use Neutrogena moisturizer for dry skin and it works like a charm. Neutrogena also has a moisturizer just for night-time which is so soft and makes your skin feel great. I have had no adverse reactions to mixing the two (plus I use the toner) and it has been over 4 years.

Also, Cetaphil has a great moisturizer.
